I'm having a problem with a VerifyError occuring when I try to run an
application with JDK1.2pre-v2 under the JRun 2.3.1 Servlet engine. The
application and supporting class files have not changed. Neither has the
JRun installation. The only thing I have changed is to move from JDK1.1.7
to 1.2p
I'm getting this warning when trying to use the Linux JDK1.2pre-v2 from the
JRun 2.3.1 servlet runner:
Warning: JIT compiler "sunwjit" not found. Will use interpreter.
Any ideas why? Where do I get sunwjit from? I thought it came with JDK1.2.
I'm using the glibc2.0 version of JDK1.2pre-v2 on
Not sure if it will help, but you can at least add Swing support to your
browser. Take a look at this URL:

My company, Servlets.Net Corporation (www.servlets.net), hosts Java Servlet
solutions using the Blackdown 1.1.7 JDK on Red Hat Linux 5.2. I was
recently asked by a potential customer if their servlets that use Java 2D to
generate images will work. We have not actually done any work or testing

I'd
highly recommend taking a look at MySQL. www.mysql.com
I'm
using RedHat 5.2, JRun 2.2.1, and MySQL with type 4 JDBC drivers. The
database and JDBC drivers are free. The database is faster than anything
else I've seen, including the big ones like Oracle, MS SQL, Informix,
etc.
I have noticed that java processes on my RedHat 5.2 box are constantly using
CPU time even when they are idle. This is much more than just garbage
collection -- they are constantly using CPU time, even when left idle for
days.
Here is the output of "top" with the topmost processes listed.
