I ran this program on a Pentium II 300MHZ 128MBram 8GBhard under Windows 98.
Installed is jdk1.2.2 standard edition with the latest alpha release of
java3d runtime. The square appears a square when the colorcube is
uncommented. So I could not find the bug.

Sorry for my English but I would like to know how to retrieve the position
of vrml objects that are in a vrml scene, that is, vrml objects are
together in a vrml file, and then when I load the vrml
scene in java3D,how are these position modified?

I had same probrem on my machine.
In my case, updated driver for my video card solved the
probrem. I think the probrem was caused by texture support
probrem of the old version of driver.
My video card is FireGL 1000 Pro. If your card is same thing,

I suggest that you try to use the 1.2 alpha version of java3D. It solves
some bugs in Indexed geometry in my app.
May be your bug would be solved too. But indeed, you won't know what was
this bug..
Or may be Sun Team will list *all* the bugs corrected in this new version?

Has anybody implemented 3D terrains using Java 3D?
If so, what's the performance like? If the performance is poor, are they
