Yes, it does, but you need to specify the full pathname of the .obj file
and make sure all additional files
(.mtl and texture image files) are in that same directory. There's a bug
(well, I think it's a bug) in the loader code
that ignores directory information unless it's implicit in

A question on a possibly easier method though... If I alter the
Transform3D in a TransformGroup manuallly, will the automatic rendering
process pick up on it and render the object(s) below it in the new
Java or Java3D do not have core fractal support, however writing your own

big reduction in fps when running
my program using Java3D 1.2 B2 (54 -> 5 fps). This behavior was not apparent
