Hi all,
First of all sorry, for reposting this message.
I have a basic question for you. What exactly is
harware texture mapping. why texture mapping depends
on hardware and what is the role the hardware in the
concept of texture mapping?
Thanks in advance,
Sagar.
Hi Jack,

for me (W2K) it just unzips fine (both, WinZip and Windows Commander),
compiles and works.

Hello guys!
I've observed a suspiciuos behavior on Java3D applets. When I open an
applet in the browser (I.E. or Netscape), change to other web(without
applets) and returns to the applet page's I observe that the memory
falls down dangerously. Let you repeat the process 20 or 30 times and

Laurent,
Yes, this is possible, but as I'm a newbie as well, I'm
not quite sure how to do this. You should check the faq's and
archives..

Zak,
Think of the view graph this way. There is a view platform. On that
platform is the viewer. For most systems the viewer cannot move around
relative to the platform and thus is always looking straight ahead.
Some systems have motion / head trackers and with these systems the
viewer can lo
Hi
I've had two friends on different ISP's try the file, and it works fine for
them, both opening the file and extracting the contents. So I must assume the
file is OK.
Sorry thats no help really.

Is there currently a way in which to directly deal w/ geo-referenced
data using Java3D. I know that GeoVRML has the capability to do this,
but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience w/ this or if Sun
is planning to add it to J3D anytime soon. Pls let me know. Thanks,

I think for
Java3D to fulfil its potential it is very important for a working JVM with J3D
bundle to be built for different consoles - I would expect this to be very easy
for Xbox, reasonably easy for GameCube and probably tricky for PS2.

I've also had Java3D + JDK1.4 fullscreen exclusive mode working. I sent a
demo out to this list several months ago that demonstrated this, but it was
built on JDK1.4b3 and J3D1.3b1, so it may be out of date at the moment.
I have had problems using the same code in more complex apps as JDK1.4

Hey, forgive me if this sounds stupid.
I'd just like to know before I start this stuff if the Full Screen Exclusive
mode available in 1.4 works witjh Java3D ok.
Are there any windowing problems or errors or should it work without any
unforseen problems?
Would it be possible to have a 3D demo or

Hi, i'm a newbie in java3d programming and i'm

We want to know if it's possible to start a

way.
