The instructions are correct for the version of JAWS they were written for
sure. It's possible that the name of the script was changed. Rick will
have to check it out because I think he has all of those versions on his
system since I don't at this time. I only have 8.0 on here right now.

I found the same scripts in version 7, and commented out both lines, and it
does work.
Just look for the following:
sayFormattedMessage, and place the semi-colon in front of it.
