Dave, I can't replicate the problem here on my Windows XP Home laptop. What version of JAWS is your friend using? I'm using a demo copy of JAWS 8 and as I said I cannot duplicate this. However, I do have some other programmes beginning with a, so this may be why I can't duplicate it. Sorry about
