It usually means you don't have a program that knows the file type, or that your Windows doesn't know what to do (what program to associate with) that file-type. . What's the filename, (including the three-letter suffix), of the attachment? Knowing that will help determine what the file actually is and what corresponding program could be expected to open it in Windows.
