Well Rich, the installer package should be something like setup.exe or
install.exe. If you look for that, then these will more likely to be
programmes that will install what you wish to install. Also, if a package
uses the Windows Installer technology, files ending in .msi are definitely
Hi All,
Does anyone know if Spybot 15 is still in beta? Also, has anyone have
any problems running this version?
When I try to do an update of the detection rules, I do not get any
updates to install like I used to do with version 14. I am thinking
of uninstalling this version and go back to
Lennie,
The website still gives version 1.4 as the downloadable version, which I
assume means 1.5 is still in beta. I have no experience of the 1.5
version so can't comment on the problems you're getting.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for all of the help.
Apparently, McAfee was having a problem with their updates and my problem
was a common one. They have a huge set up for this particular problem.
They helped me fix it by un installing then re installing the program.
Great advice from all of you JAWS guys.

This 'dictionary' seems to be mac-oriented. Googling it doesn't bring up
much praise for it. WordWeb is handy, and easy to use.

Hi list:
Is anyone successfully using AVG Anti-Spyware with Jaws?
I'm currently using Jaws 6.2.
I installed the program, but can't make much sense out of the main program
window, even with the Jaws cursor.
Any other comments regarding this program are also appreciated.
John
Visit the JAWS
John, unlike AVG Anti-virus, AVG Anti-spyware can only be used with the JAWS
cursor, which you say you can't make sense of, so I suggest you uninstall
that and install Ad Aware and/or, preferably and, Spybot Search and Destroy.
Hope that helps.

Hi John,
I didn't have any problems with it useing Jaws 6.2
Jaws did read buttons, useing the Jaws cursor.
I was trying to get another look at the program, but,
got wrapped up in some other things that required my attention.
I'll be back on it, Monday afternoon.
I'll post results.

Richard

Normally they have an HTML interface, so as a result it's really not an
issue. I use a linksys myself but there are certainly other brands
represented on here as well.
