Sorry, I'm coming in late on this thread and have missed the original

email scanning turned off? Is it a downloading speed issue or does it
conflict with JAWS in some way?

Nope I didn't. I have my preview pain turned off and I do not open any
attachments at all unless I know who they come from and I
scann them with avg before I open them anyways.

In a recent message, Sarah mentions turning off the e-mail scanning feature of
AVG. She indicated that the computer would scan everything every day anyhow.
I am a bit concerned about the recommendation.

Thanks David. Lisa, I'll check that out and try to compile a list of key
commands. As for the one that starts a full scan, if it's there, I haven't
found it yet. But now I have even more of an incentive. I tend to use
whatever works and I've been just clicking on Start with my Jaws cursor.
When enabled, it attempts to correct your typing on the fly, i. e.
spelling, and, I ahink, grammar as well, but I'm not sure about the
latter.

Hi
I opened the JAWS verbosity box in my MS Word 2003 and found the following
setting "auto correct". It can be set to on or off. What is this setting and
how do I use it? I am using the latest version of JAWS 8.
Thank you for your help.

I do use spy sweeper, but I have never herd jaws announce any key
