Real speak comes on a separate disk from JAWS and now I can't remember if it
was with 8 or 9. I am pretty sure it was in 8.
You have to install that disk and then restart jaws for it to find the
voices.

I think it came with both 8 and 9. I know that I received it with 9.
Unload JAWS, install the voices (it is a guided install I think) and then
restart JAWS.

I'm using accessible RSS Reader, but I want a reader that downloads the

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,
I don't know for sure, but i'm thinking there must be some kind of software
to install to make wireless speakers work properly. Can anyone recommend a
pair of wireless speakers in which the software will not be a issue with
Jaws?
I did go to my local Staples and Radio shack and

Hi:
I know a JAWS tech who likes nod32. I'm not sure I spelled that correctly, but
that's how it sounds. It might be a good one to check into for your list.

There wouldn't usually be any software; you will need to plug in the speaker
transmitter just as you would plug in a wired speaker system then turn on
the speakers and so long as they are within range of the transmitter they
will receive the signal. Same as wireless headphones.

In an older version of Jaws like that one, if a balloon message comes up,

As mentioned earlier, you are now in the System Tray display. Usually, a
balloon pop up message has relatively high priority so it will appear at the

Max, your message is somewhat misleading. I have the paid version of AVG
and it works extremely well with Jaws. However, I am using AVG Version 7.X
not the newer AVG Version 8. Unfortunately, there have been problems with
that new software.

I purchased a two year subscription for Nod32 because it was suppose to be
good for not taking up a lot of system resources. It at least in my view is
very hard to navigate around in either the Nod32 program or the Nod32
control panel. There is something in there to set grafficks to off because
David and All,
NOD32 seems to work fairly well with JAWS.

Hi,
If you are using internet explorer 7, there should be a page menu in the
toolbar. Open this menu and select view ftp site in windows explorer. It
should also say that at the top of the page.

I think he is referring to the fact that you didn't state it was AVG 8 that was
the problem and made it sound like the AVG paid version in general is bad. No
biggie, but it confused me at first too.
