KK what kind of anti-virus system are you using?
What may be happening is that your anti-virus program is scanning an inbound
message. Or, perhaps it's a bit sluggish and yousent a message which is
only then being scanned as it's sent out. Occasionally, I get that problem
where Jaws isn't
I'm using AVG also and occasionally I will hear that message, but it goes away
immediately and causes no problems. I don't know why it's staying up unless
it's trying to tell you that you are replying to an email that's got a virus or
it's being very slow in scanning the incoming email for some
I'm assuming you mean Version 8.0. Okay. That program scans both inbound
and outbound e-mail. Usually it does it in the background and doesn't
bother you. If your Jaws is picking up a brief message that comes across
the screen, that's probably what is jamming you up KK. Did you try the
OK folks, let's be a little more clear when composing subject lines. Not
only does this kind of thing irritate me it also causes in many cases people
not to read the message that boasts such a cryptic subject tag. People who
might just be able to help you if they were to read the message.
I have a friend who is trying to hear the typing sound when someone is
typing a message to her using windows live.
I told her to check and make sure eloquence was allowing wav sound which it
was.
What other info should I give her?

Thanks very much, Rick, but no change. What's strange is that my other
folders and sub folders are all in alphabetical order. Well, not a big
deal, but just curious.

well, Gee, Rick, can you explain that in English? I went and down loaded the
little program, and tried to follow the instructions on the web page, but got
lost. Can't you and Dave make this work like in 5 easy steps and make it
really,, simple? I mean, it just shouldn't be that hard. So now
Carla,
Is all you want to do is to copy the actual file names?
The usual highlight or select will try to paste the files themselves to the
new location not just the names.
I suppose you could put the list of files into the Jaws on-screen virtual
viewer and then copy that to a document like
Like I stated earlier today, subject lines should clearly reflect what the
contents of the message is regarding.

I am using the new version. I have no problem with jaws 9 and xp 3. I use it
for CDs and movies. It works great. However I do not use the library I have
my own folders for movies and audio books or CDs.
