David,I don't believe there is a hot key automatically assigned to JAWS when installed, so unless you have assigned a hot key I believe you will have to use Narrator in order to turn JAWS back on or another option if you have JAWS set to automatically start when the computer loads up then you

Albert, I don't know any way of getting Office 2007 on 2 computers legally without purchasing two licenses. It is possible to buy a multi license copy, but that is still likely to cost more than 2 licenses. The trial version that came with your computer may be the cheapest way to go for that one.

The reason it doesn't work is the fact that you have more than one version of Jaws. It has nothing to do with XP since I'm running the same thing. Your start menu doesn't know which version to start when you do Windows J. I understand that because several versions back, I had the same situation
