Hi, Up until JAWS 11 they were. I think there is an issue with having more then one version at a time on a PC. Example JAWS 7.1, JAWS 9, and JAWS 11. Jaws 7.1 and JAWS 9 co-existed very well with the dongle. However, once JAWS 11 was introduced into the mix three became a crowd... Just a guess but

Had the same problem, both on my XP desktop and Win 7 laptop. I un installed all versions of Jfw and re- install the program from the internet web site. Using the 32 bit for the desktop and the 64 bit for the laptop. Haven't had a problem since. Before I use the disk F S sent to do the install.
