Dwight, This is because whoever scanned the image into a PDF file scanned it as an image (picture) rather than saving it as text. Only way around this is to import with Freedom import printer if you are using open book or print it and then scan it. This is a real pain with PDF files like this Al

Remember, that if you leave Jaws running, but merely quieten it, Jaws will affect the interface. This means things will not necessarily act as the sited person expects. Therefore, I would recommend using your Insert F 4, to unload Jaws and when you want it back, use your easy to make shortcut
