John,
You may have to do a System Restore. That's the only way I got my problem
fixed.
I tried uninstalling and then re-installing Jaws from the orihginal system
disk but it didn't help.
I'm not sure what the problem is since I'm using Windows 7 but something is
certainly going on.

Download the file again - it is possible that the file got corrupted during

Try downloading the exe again. Or it might be the old version won't allow
the update. In that case do a repair on it. Or if you have a older version
as JAWS 11 uninstall the Version 12 and than try to run the EXE.

3. Browse to the downloaded JAWS setup file and press enter key.
4. Use
That don't mean a problem with your system, but does mean a problem
with the jaws file itself.
Looks like FS needs to look at the bugs missed and forget the bells
and whistles.
It is slowly looking like a video card issue or not tested with other

I say all these emails sent to

Hi,
I, too, had similar problems when I up-dated JAWS12. Did you run or save the
program from the site? I tried for the first time to run it from the site,
but I'll never do that again. They do recommend that you don't run the
program, but rather save it and install it yourself.
