Hi all,
I have JAWS 15.0 and Win 7, and a sound bar for my speakers.
A friend was helping copy a music CD to my PC the other day, and had “JAWS” off.
When I turned the computer on, the sound quality sounded muffled. Almost the
difference in stereo vs mono.
Usually my volume is around a number 4
Thank you Mike.

when I upgrade, if I leave this as it is unchecked, I cannot use the cursor
keys to nav by cursor. the use hardware accelleration is checked, but I
uncheck it so I can use the JAWS cursor to review the screen. and press f11

Hi Cher,
I've never checked that option to try it out. I seldomly use Firefox so,
I've never been in it long enough to really find out how useful it may or
may not be. About the only time I use FF is when I need to solve a CAPTCHA.
Hopefully someone that uses FF on a regular basis will reply
OK- do you mean "use cursor keys to navigate within pages" instead? Does
that need to be checked also?
Cher

what about the 'always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages' option-
it's unchecked by default? Sounds like a good thing for JAWS...

Hi friends,
Does anyone know a good, free video file format converter that works with
access technology?
Does anyone use format factory that can comment on it's accessability?
Many thanks in anticipation,

Hi Robert,
I have that checkbox, Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages,

Use hardware acceleration when available, checkbox your navigation ability
will improve. HTH

Thanks to you I discovered what the problem was. Somehow I accidently
unchecked the box that says use cursor keys to scroll the page.
If we can't look at ourselves, and ask, why? then where does the learning
