Ubuntu is one of the many distributions of Linux but is not accessible
out of the box.

So is this program going away? This is news to me, but to be honest I never
thought the idea of asking people to pay $50 a year for a free program was
such a good idea.

It depends on the model number of the Dell. I know of a case where it is the
F.N. key plus F 3 and another where it is the F.N. key plus F 5. There are
probably others as well. Do you know the model number?
