OCR is not going to be perfect, and usually the formatting is completely
messed up. Just the way things are.

months ago, wherein he spoke of and recommended a partiuclar tablet that was
favoured for use with JAWS. (I think it was a Windows Professional version?)
(It had either a built-in keyboard or a portable, USB keyboard?)
I suppose I can wait until jaws 17 or 18
I'm using firefox now it's not bad except it's not the same!

I have used many, but the best and most accessible I've used have been Adobe
Acrobat Pro, and ABBYY Fine Reader, both of which will integrate with Word
and other Microsoft Products.

yes I did clean install jaws. but IE still doesn't seem to work. that
reset tool didn't really work, jaws still loses focus of IE or at least I
think cause when I press for links, headings, or form fields jaws says this
feature is only for a virtual document.

Did you remove and reinstall jaws 16.
This sounds like the behavior of jaws that needs to be reinstalled.

It allows you to scan and read printed text - such as snail
I have never liked Quicken and for the most part it is very cranky with
JAWS. With that said QuickBooks 14 may not be much better.
However, I am using QuickBooks 15 with JAWS 16 and the My Blind Spot scripts
and it works very nicely.

First, make sure that internet explorer is set as your default browser.
windows 10 has a new browser that isn't accessible. You might want to
tryand run a jaws repair. as well.

all I did was reset IE settings to when it was originally installed on windows 7
