If it were me, I would not mess with the registry tweak to w-10. I don't understand what all the fuss is about. When you use the quick start feature of w-10 you come to the log-in screen in about 10 seconds, who cares about any windows sounds. This is not important, does not effect Jaws, does not

Hi Jim, You can run CCleaner without running the Registry cleaning option. The Registry cleaning is a totally separate cleaning function. When you runn CCleaner it only cleans what it is told to clean in the settings, & this is a separate process than the Registry cleaner. Take care. Mike Glo
