Hi Again All, Okay, I got Jaws to announce the safe to remove notification by changing the default, Notification sound, in Control Panel / Sounds link / Sounds, Windows tree View. I used my own sound, & it's a little more verbose than earlier operating systems, but it works! Happy New Year

Hi, Whenever you move away from a universal app, it'll be suspended. A small piece of the app will continue to run in the background if told to do so. As for this affecting startup, I don't know for sure. As for Cortana: until a few years ago, you could disable Cortana altogether. Now you can't:
