I need to start to use Edcast with JAWS 2018 in IE 11 on Win 7 64 bit and have
had no luck at reading most of the content.

If these are PDF files, they will open in Edge, because Edge renders PDF’s
pretty well. If you want to use Adobe reader to read the PDF’s in, just press
Shift+F10 or the applications key, and arrow to open with, and enter on Adobe
reader.
