It all comes down to personal preference, like so many things in life.
No need to bash one product or the other.
I personally prefer avast, run the latest version and am happy with it. I do
not use MSE because, because I am very satisfied with how things work with
avast plus MSE still have this
Make sure you restart the computer, it should prompt for a restart after you
disabled it, to become effective.
