Hi guys, when this anniversary update comes out will we have a choice to
update? Will it be automatic like all the other updates up until now? If
it's a must and automatic update and it doesn't work properly with jaws or
nvda what are we as the blind community to do?

Rose, even Outlook 2007 works fine with Win10- so you will still be able to
use Outlook2010.

Hi Dave,
If you upgrade your current version of Windows, (Windows 7, 8 or 8.1),
within one (1) year from the release of Windows 10, the upgrade is free.
After that period, Windows 10 will have to be purchased either by download

Do you think it will be possible to upgrade to win 10 without sighted
assistance using Jaws or even Narrator?

Been there, done that to both suggestions, unfortunately. MS replaced my
original Win7 disk when it became apparent that the original was defective-
and becoming convinced that somehow that messed up registration somehow.
Hoping they can fix since they broke :)

My reading of this is that it is not a subscription software model (like
adobe use).
It is a free upgrade to eligible users.
