i have a new laptop, and there's nothing on the start menu, except
for the search box, and all programs. how can i put icons from my
desktop, on my start menu, but leaving the desktop icon on desktop?

As I stated earlier, I didn't get the, pin to start menu, option in the
context menu for certain desktop icons.
