Ya, That is correct for selecting cells.
I'm in need of selecting non adjusent rows and columns.
Please help and try again.

Use goto, control+g or f5, and type in the cells. If you want a5
through a10, type a5:a10; a1 through g1 would be a1:g1. a5 through
a10 and a1 through g1 would be a5:a10,a1:g1
Goto doesn't move to anything, it selects. it's totally awesome!
