Well, I must first admit that I did not initially develop my web page. An 
old high school friend whom I had not talked in 40 years started it when 
catching up on old times. Then when he no longer could maintain it was up to 
me.
I studied his html code and did a lot of copy and paste. I also did a lot of 
searches to learn how to accomplish a particular task. When it comes to the 
photographs I do require sighted help. I don't want a picture upside down.
I first had my sight posted on geocities and they since did away with the 
free hosting. Looking around and reading reviews I decided on godaddy. When 
you purchase your domain name they offer some free hosting with an add or 
you can also elect for paid space with no add.
For a guest book I found smartgb.com Their site is extremely jaws friendly. 
To edit my page I use notepad and if I come across something on another page 
that I like I will under the view select sorce. I learned much by viewing 
the source of other pages.
I intend to add a few landmarks to my page to help keep up to standards for 
screen readers.
