I recently loss my system sounds, all other audio Jaws and music runs fine.
someone told me the most likely cause is a corrupt users profile.
I really have no idea if my computer is on unless I hear the startup sound,

Probably unrelated, but my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro transformer loses the
system sounds if I put it in tablet mode, weird.
