I have thunderbird also running on this machine. My wife uses it for her email. 
When it was opened a message that the software update failed. I closed and when 
opened again received the same message. I restarted the computer and again 
received the software update failed. Is there anywhere where I can try to force 
an update. I could not locate a check for update option. Any thoughts?
