HiAmber,
After letting Adobe process the document, save as txt file from the file
menu. It should be readable by Jaws. I just had a simular situation and I
was able to read the file with jaws.

I have never had adobie say empty dockument when someone sighted read the
same thing and they could read it. I am using adobie 9 and, windows x p
