Thanks for that, never heard of that one. Will take a look. Sight and Sound
tell me that Eset is pretty good but they have no experience of McAfee.

I use Trend Micro.  It has three levels of cost per year, depending on the
amount of protection you need, but you can install it on three computers.
It came on the recommendation of a friend of mine who is the CTO for a large
bank.  It is completely accessible, and always has been.  I have used it for
about 4 years, and have never once had a virus, not one.  I have never had
any security problem of any kind, and I am a heavy computer user across
several networks. 
It is the best program I have ever used.

That business is removing viruses for a standard charge. With a decent anti
virus program. You can avoid that charge.
