I am still unclear on the plan for EJB3 annotations support in Q4 and past that, knowing Eclipse is lagging behind. If hbm files will be used for mapping, how are those going to be generated from annotations? Using Bill's annotation compiler of some javac workaround with jdk 1.5? Please explain

Yes - eclipse lags behind on annotation support. I recently saw that they now have assigned the annotation support to two people, so hopefully we will see some progress, but the timeline is still somewhere in 2005Q1 for eclipse support. I acutally also tried out running a ant task for running ja
