I am still unclear on the plan for EJB3 annotations support in Q4 and past
that, knowing Eclipse is lagging behind. If hbm files will be used for mapping,
how are those going to be generated from annotations? Using Bill's annotation
compiler of some javac workaround with jdk 1.5? Please explain
Yes - eclipse lags behind on annotation support.
I recently saw that they now have assigned the annotation support to two
people, so hopefully we will see some progress, but the timeline is still
somewhere in 2005Q1 for eclipse support.
I acutally also tried out running a ant task for running ja

I still don't understand if the following scenario will work with the next
release of JBossIDE:
1) Edit POJO source to add EJB3 annotations. No smart code assist, no
refactoring on annotations, just plain text edit.

OK, I get it now. Thanks.
The plan looks fine provided that Eclipse will meet their deadlines. We need to
think of a more user friendly alternative in case Eclipse annotations are not
there by April.

We would like our aspects to accumulate information, or self configure on a

in order to relocate it. Is this possible? A spike has shown that the aspects

To 'build' the object that needs to be cached requires invoking a custom object
which handles all the Data retrieval and building, and because of legacy code,
there is _no_ concept of tr

This relates to my other post "SERIALIZABLE Bug? Read of null, put, another

Assuming a rather simplistic TreeCache usage, where all Fqn would be of the

still need the SERIALIZABLE isolation level in the above example using a
CacheLoader, as 2 threads trying to read the same (empty/null) value will both
go "hunting" in the db and clobber the first ones value.

The answer is "yes" you need it for the current version (1.1) b/c the cache
loading is not synchronized between threads. However, in CVS head (becoming
JBossCache 1.2 before the end of the year, hopefully by mid December), this
*is* synchronized, so you should be fine.
