I did NOT have a syntax error in FiboBean.java the first time that I ran XDoclet. Nonetheless, the solution posted by zombla above seems to fix this issue.
I deleted the .java files and the tutorial.interfaces package itself via the Package Explorer, re-ran XDoclet, and that did it.
