Using th snapshot the only thing still giving me trouble is the deploer preferences
which gives the same
MESSAGE Plug-in org.jboss.ide.eclipse.deployer.ui was unable to load class

Is there a way to deploy to a remote server from the IDE?
I know I can use ssh to copy the files over but it would be nice to
(1) be able to automate the process from the IDE and
(2) not have to either give everyone a login on the remote server or run there an ftp
server.

I guess I should have checked before I posted. The daily snapshot is just the source,
not the binary so I would have ended up building it anyway. CVS is better :-)

Thank you for the tip. I used the CVS version and indeed it solved the problem.
I assume that instead of building it myself I could have used the daily snapshot. Is
this correct?

When selecting the project > Properties > Packaging Configurations, right click on
right side of frame and select Add Std. Archive I get a "Choose Packaging
configuration" which has an empty list (basically all I see are the OK and Cancel
buttons.
