Your suggestion was right on. I had not been selecting the log file from the server
view. Thank you for the tip.

-Show View
-Other
-JBoss IDE
-Server Navigator
-OK
+Expand the server you are interested in

I installed JBoss IDE 1.2.3 into my Eclipse 2.1.3 without incident and was able to add
my Jboss 3.2.3 server and start it up. The console output looks fine.
