I apologize if this question has been asked before but I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer.
Does anyone know if it's necessary for instances of JBoss to be clustered to use the TreeCache caching framework? Our current environment utilizes the NetScaler hardware-based load balancer to distribute requests thus we are not using JBoss' built-in clustering but we are starting to evaluate caching frameworks and JBossCache (i.e. TreeCache) looks like an obvious choice with the exception of the possible clustering requirement. Thanks.
