Cos apache-SOAP (still) sucks, IMHO. 

Wait. Polemics off. At the time we started with ZOAP (must have been late 
2000, or so, cant remember the exact month), ApacheSOAP was 
hardly able to serialize serious data structures besides the strings and
numerics 
from the StockTicker demo  (not to mention  the performance issues due to
using DOM). 

Due to a lacking acceptance of ZOAP, however, we have decided to abandon the
ZOAP 
effort in favor to Apache/Axis/whatever.

Unfortunately, there is not yet enough "critical" mass to form a new
subproject, the exact
target (Invocation layer, JMX adaptor, JMS integration) is also not clear.
But
at least discussion is underway ...
