I have the same problem. This seems to be bug #33 on Bugzilla but reading the comments
attached to the bug report it sounds like the create method should be throwing a
DuplicateKeyException regardless. It doesn't for me though.

Hi,
I developed a CMP bean and successfully be able to run it on JBoss.
However, I noticed that eventhough JBoss created the table, it didn't
create the primary key for me. Here is the output when I run jboss.
