Hello all,
If an EJB is using bean managed transactions, and there is no UserTranscation
in effect, is there any difference in overhead for DB reads between using a
no-tx-datasource vs local-tx-datasource?
Thanks,

I am using version 2.6.3 of Portal (AS+Portal Bundle ) . I am not able to
access the Portal from any other machine than the deployed one.
I gave start up option run -b host name to enable access using hostname. Now
i am able to access Portal using hostname , but if i try the same URL from
whacky! Silly question, but can you ping the machine you are trying to reach?
If so, I'm not sure what the issue is. Anything in the logs?

One solution i found was to hard code the value of jndiPattern directly to the
components.xml although this is not very elegant. I think the problem was while
building the application (maybe in the build script that jboss tools is using).

We are using jboss cache(version: jbosscache-core-2.1.0.CR2, tree cache) within
a Java service. Our cache has very few nodes (around 3). Each of those nodes
can have lots of data (100K entries). We are using BDB-J for cache
persistence, using the BDBJECacheLoader. Our data is non-transactional:
You can't lose messages with DUPS_OK, but there is a possibility of duplicates
if the system fails and recovers.
As Andy says, you can then implement duplicate detection and effectively then
get once and only once delivery.

One thing that I still do get is:

If downsizing causes the data to exceed the column length, locate the following

Folks,
We faced a similar situation a few days ago. The user could click on a
hyperlink in a page to go to a different page which was required to open in a
new non-nested conversation. Before redirecting to the new page, the
application was required to process the edits the user had made on
