(earlier maybe) with more details? If there is any, please post
Wolfgang is right. Annotation packages have changed in AS-4.x to AS-5. For AS5,

Hello,
I am migrating a 4.0.2 JBOSS app which uses hibernate to JBOSS 5.0.1 GA but
I keep getting the following error in JBOSS:
Exception thrown javax.naming.NamingException: Could not dereference object
[Root exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: hibernate not bound]
Anyone know why

jbosssx into jboss4.2.3. Now I need it and would appretiate reading that

Please provide more information including the version of JBossAS and Java you
use. Also how is the jboss service deployed? Through some -service.xml file?
Where in the EAR is it placed? And what does deployed but not auto-started
mean? Also post relevant logs from the console (not server.log).

When i do so, it works perfectly and the service is started after deployment.
But when i place the sar file in an ear, the service is not deployed
