[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Error starting JBoss Portal 2.4.1.CR2 Release

2006-12-23 Thread 733nb
I downloaded the 2.4.1.CR2 bundled release and I'm receiving a startup error indicating the portal-wsrp.sar is already registered. I noticed the 2.4.1.CR2 bundled release is running Jboss 4.0.5. The 2.4.1.CR1 bundled release running Jboss 4.0.4. Is this the intent to run 2.4.1 on 4.0.5? Environm

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: JBoss Portal 2.6 Developer Release

2006-10-25 Thread 733nb
I downloaded the DR release and was able to bring it up without any issues, Nice Job ;-) It would be nice to see you get rid of the html login page and put it into a portal (it would make the whole system really look top-notch) Overall, it looks and feels really good...really like the DnD!!!

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Login / Logout & Password Reset Strategies

2006-10-22 Thread 733nb
In reviewing the Portal 2.6 mockup screens it looks like you intent to move the login page to a portlet. - This is a good thing ;-) I have a few questions about your Login / Logout & Password Reset Strategies: 1. What is your strategy for logging out? Do you plan on returning the user to the de

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Redirecting logout

2006-10-15 Thread 733nb
How can I redirect logout to always take me back to my default page vs the login.jsp? This is really annoying... I know you have plans with portal 2.6 to move the login to a portlet. But it would be nice if you could move the implementation up and put it into 2.4.1!!! View the original post :

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Setting Window Default State

2006-10-15 Thread 733nb
Is there a way to set the window default state? Say I have 5 windows on the a page, when the page is rendered, I want the first window to be in the "NORMAL" state while the other 4 windows are "MINIMIZED". Is there some place within the xml configuration (-object.xml, portlet.xml, etc...) file

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: JBoss Portal 2.4.1.CR1 Bundled Released - has a bad link

2006-10-14 Thread 733nb
It looks like you have a bad link on your portal download page under the 2.4.1.CR1. I tried downloading the 2.4.1.CR1 'JBoss Portal + JBoss AS' and I got the 2.4.1.CR1 'JBoss Portal + JBoss AS (Clustered)' product. View the original post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtop

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: Struts example portlet for 2.4?

2006-09-02 Thread 733nb
I'm also looking for at Struts example. There use to be a struts example under the portal swap, but when that was updated it seem to have disappared. Additionally, in the JBoss Portal 2.4 Reference Guide, under Existing Framework support, you mention "Portlets utilizing Struts". It would be nic

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: User Input Req for 2.6 Usability and UI enhancements

2006-08-12 Thread 733nb
Just one last note on sorting the pages. It would be nice if we could set the sort order by the user role. So the navigation tabs sort order would look something like this: | <01-unckecked> <02-user> <03-user> <04-superUser> <05-admin> | This way, we could always have our admin stuff at

Thanks for the pointer on changing the security on the portlet istnace. That almost works. However, I now get a message "Access Denied". Is there a why to just hide the window without the error message? View the original post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3964791#3

I'm currently a newbe to the Jboss portal code and have been evaluating the bundled 2.4 CR-3 code base. I reviewed the mockups and wow, you guys are on the right track! When did you say your targeting the release of 2.6? In the mockup's, I couldn't tell if you are able to order the pages. This
