Is this the same for jBPM4? Has anybody done this for jBPM4? Are there

Thanks

OK. Will look at running jBPM3 and jBPM4 on Tomcat. That might solve some
other issues.
My fear of running two ProcessEngines is that one of them is really the main

Right. Unfortunately we already have jBPM3 running on the same Tomcat. We are
using Alfresco and it is embedded in their product. We are trying to move away
from from Alfrescos jBPM because of poor integration in our opinion.
As far as the communications I was referring to external systems

So I would then deploy the jpdl separate from the png? Is there a way to keep
track of which image goes with which jpdl?
How do the .bar files work? I was under the impression that I could include
the jpdl and png in a bar and deploy that.
Thanks

That is an interesting suggestion. Do you see any downside to having 2
ProcessEngines running? (1 on Tomcat and 1 on JBoss) The only thing I can
think of that would be an issue is communicating with external systems. By
having multiple ProcessEngines it starts to complicate the architecture.
RemoteCommandExecutor? I believe that is probably the answer.

Does the current jBPM4 release support showing the process definition image in
the console? I can't seem to get it to come up. Should it work for the examples?
Thanks

OK. I wrote a small web app to do deployment for the short term. The new jBPM
looks great. I really like the changes. They all seem to be for the better.
Thanks guys.

We are currently running a stand alone Tomcat server outside of JBoss. We were
trying not to disturb this working system but would like to access a jBPM
engine running in JBoss.
Does jBPM 4 offer remote interfaces for RepositoryService, ExecutionService and
such? I have looked at the gwt-cons
Why not;
fork,
set a variable,
join,
act on the variable,
exit gracefully.
I am sure you could get this to work with exiting in a fork but why? My
feeling has always been if the picture doesn't look right and balanced the
process probably is not right. Its like looking at sheet music;
I got the same problems but don't understand the resolution. What is it
exactly that I need to do to resolve these issues?

I am a little confused as to why this wasn't added when the gwt-console was
built. Wouldn't that be one of the most obvious things to have in there? I
will write a small web app. Maybe I will write some GWT and contribute it. I
can't believe loading a process definition was left out. It rea
How do I deploy a process definition in jBPM4. I don't see a place to do it on
the GWT console. The eclipse plugin doesn't have any tabs for deployment like

seems like a last resort. How do I do it?

I am seeing similar issues using the same JBossWS, app server and JDK. I
played around with the SOAP annotation elements and got lots of different
results. That was when I went home for the weekend. ;-) I will bang on it
some more but am also a bit baffled.

The classical solution: As it turns out reading every piece of JBoss

way to learn and to solve problems. My problems ended up being a small typo in

Is 3.1.5 going to be released? I really wanted to use the subprocesses. Yes I
know I can fix the subprocess entry in the database and make it work.
Can somebody post the link to the differences between 3.1 and 3.2?
