Great thanks! Will I need to fix it manually until the next release or will

I will try that. When creating content, I logged in as admin, clicked the
admin link, then the first tab is CMS. That is where I tried to create
content, folders etc. Can you try that way and see if you can reproduce the
error to see if it's my environment only or not?

That fails for me too. What JDK are you using? The only other difference is
the database. How exactly did you setup mysql? Did you point everything to
mysql or just the portal, etc. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks Sohil! I believe I tried this originally with mysql but I will have to
verify. The difference in our use case is that I created a folder at the root
and not under the default folder. Maybe that's what is causing the issue. I
will try this again and post the results later on.

that appears to be a bug. I have ot use the 2.6 version because I want to have
different CMS regions on different pages with different content and I saw that
this is possible in this release. I just tried it again by
I'm working with JBoss Portal 2.1.4-CR2 and have been able to figure out
everything I've need to this point except how to install / enable User Forums.
I've read various posts online and none that I've found say how to do this. I
thought I'd be able to create a new portlet instance to do this
