Hi Meghana,
At this time there is no BPEL 2.0 effort planned within the jBPM project. As
Sebastian points out, the BPEL 2.0 offering of JBoss will include the Riftsaw
project, which is based on Apache ODE.
As you correctly state, the OW Orchestra project builds on top of the PVM,
albeit an
The GPD does the generation based on the canvas in Eclipse and nothing else. It
does not need the runtime to do this. But what is the exact problem?

Koen

I have no idea how Heiko implemented it in the current console. I would advise
to look at the code.
Back in jBPM 3 we used a hack with 3x3 html table witoverlaying the image. The
middle cell of this image had a red border and used the coordinates of the
current node in the process.
Cheers,
There is already an issue for this: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/GPD-372

Sebastian,
As you might know the API has been severely limited wrt jBPM 3 to enhance the
supportability. I am not sure as to how much it would impact supportability if
the API would be extended so that dynamically creating processes would be
possible. In any case, it is possible to create the
How are these task comments created? Is there an 'authenticatedUserId' in the
current environment while creating them?

The difference is that for 4.x a number of issues still have to be solved to
make pluggability possible (see GPD-292 and
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopict=160930) For 3.x
pluggability is already possible. The best place to start to see how it is done
is to look at the ESB
As I said in the post on the developer's forum, there will be support for
instance migration in the upcoming release. The solution is somewhat different
from Caleb's solution for jBPM 3.x.

More convenience is on the way. AFAICS it will be for 4.3 though (Januari 1st
2010).

Mauricio,
These forums are not the place to discuss the features or the architecture of
Drools Flow. Please continue these discussions in the appropriate forum.
Moreover, as Tom already indicated in an earlier post in this thread, jBPM is
the only BPM solution that is and will be supported
You can go to the JBoss Tools update site and install it from there. Otherwise,
you just download and expand the jBPM 4.1 release and use the local update site
that is included in the distribution.

Koen

AFAIK setting the runtime should work. Can you specify the version of JBT you
are using?
Defining a jBPM 4 project is not needed anymore. Just follow the instructions
to add a jBPM User Library as they are defined in the user guide and add the
library to any ordinary Java project.
Regards,
Again, the answer is in the user guide. We decided to step away from the
deployment page in the GPD for now. We might add a wizard or something similar
in the future if it appears to be needed. But a Ant build file with a number of
targets per business archive to be deployed is much more
There is also no need to use a specific 'Process project'. Just define the jBPM
User Library as per
http://docs.jboss.com/jbpm/v4.0/userguide/html_single/#definejbpmuserlibraries.
Add this library to a new Java project and you are all set.

Hi Setya,
Yes they are the same. The term exclusive is not meant to be visible in jpdl.
Where did you find it? In recent documentation?

Hi Indy,
I need to update the build instructions. You need to either use the JEE version
of Ganymede or install the XML support from the Ganymede update site.

Setya,
This smells like a compatibility issue between the 3.1.x and the 4 version of
the GPD. OTOH the latest GPD 4 release was build with Ganymede 3.4.2. So you
might want to use that one.

This is actually not really a GPD issue but an issue with the runtime. The
runtime publishes information (contained in the version.info.xml file and some
other locations) on which the GPD relies to create the project and the sample
files.
The problem is that this file was moved and that the
Currently it can be done using the API. Look in the examples to see how. But
stay tuned, the other options are on the way ;-)

You should check out the branch branch_jbpm_jpdl_gpd_3_1_x to have the latest
sources of the 3.1.x branch.
As for the new GPD 4, the sources are in the jboss tools svn. I'll write up a
wiki article that describes how to get/build it.

GPD 3.1.6 is build and tested on Eclipse 3.4.1.
Any other combination is not guaranteed to work. With the above combination the
installation and creation of jBPM projects and process files seems to happen
smoothly. At least on my machine ;-)
