Resolved the problem and just for completeness am posting the cause.
This was a user error. (Surprise!)
There were 2 problems:
1) I was using the wrong method for my search. I was using query.setParameter
with a list as on object. It works a lot better with using

I am trying to build a set of portlets that can start a JBPM process. However,
as specific processes can only started by certain roles, I had to add a table
that maps the roles and the JBPM Processes. However, when I run this query, it
throws an NonSerializable exception saying that

Sorry for the dumb question, but I cannot seem to find where to set the Page
Title (not each Portlets' Title). I always get "JBoss Portal 2.4.0-GA".
Could someone point me to the document that holds that?
