Hi Jaikiran,
We have a HTTPUnit module that sits inside an EAR along with some EJBs and all.
The servlet would invoke a HTTPUnit class for fetching some information from
few websites. This HTTPUnit class would fill some web forms in 2rd party

Hi,
My question is about ServiceLocator pattern implementation in the EJB3 world.
Pls let me know if there is any new efficient way of writing ServiceLocator in
EJB3. This new approach should also hold good for clustering.
Also curious to know how can we write code that can work with both remote

would at least post some reply if not a solution. Is this the speed at which
the issues are resolved in Jboss ? Just curious.

HI Jaikiran,
As you said, JBoss 5 is a client of Jboss 4.0.5.
I am not packaging any Jboss specific jar file along with my application.

Ok Jaikiran,
let me explain : We have one EAR file up and running on Jboss5. This ear file
contatins EJB3,servlets and core java classes. The client java program sits
inside the EAR file.
So do you mean to say that I need to copy the jar files under
REMOTE_JBOSS/server/default/lib to JBOSS5/cl
The client is a plain java class. It has to lookup the remote EJB. The
exception is thrown at the time of lookup.

Though it is not relevant to this thread, could you please tell me why we have
to bind the server to an IP address if we have to access from remote computer

In Jboss4.0, just "sh run.sh" would start the server and still i can access it
