I encountered this problem with 4.2.3.GA when trying to startup jboss. All the xml files mentioned are stock version, no change from me. Here is part of the stack trace: | 2008-09-30 17:47:02,381 DEBUG [org.jboss.web.WebModule] Starting failed jboss.web.deployment:war=ROOT.war,id=1767403708

senderj, you should have started a new topic, not posted to a year-old topic. The error message looks really strange to me. I would download 4.2.3 again, verify it with the md5 or sha checksum, and install it again. Also, what JVM are you using? What operating system? Have you set the CLASSPATH

basten.li, please post the stack trace for your error. Also, post the contents of your web.xml file (the portion that deals with security is sufficient), the jboss-web.xml file, and the application-policy entry within login-config.xml that the jboss-web.xml references. View the original post :

I downloaded 4.0.5 and it also does not show upI saw a workaround of copying the jboss-common.jar into the same directory as applet.jsp and applet.jar and changed the applet.jsp code to use the jboss-common.jar as well but it does not work. I saw it wokrked for people in 4.0.4. Any ideas?

I think we should report this as a bug, as there is a missing library for this web-console apps. View the original post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3992196#3992196 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3992196
