I got it to work, but on JBoss 4.2.3 GA..
I configured everything like on JBoss 5 and it worked right away so for now no
problem for me anymore :)

There's XA connection pool examples in the docs directory for Oracle. They
probably have all the correct settings you describe. If not, filing a JIRA
would be helpful.

Ok since nobody seems to have had this problem.. Let me give you an update on
my progress..
I found a way to make it work but it doesn't really make much sense to me so I
would really appreciate thoughts, ideas on the subject..
