Yes, it works in terminal as a normal user, but not in EClipse.
And as a root, it works both in EClipse and in termianal.

JAVA_HOME = /usr/local/jdk1.5 for both user and root
JBOSS_HOME=/opt/jboss4.2.3
ANd the user owns JBOSS_HOME

If you try to start jbossas from a terminal (not from within Eclipse), does it
