The operations and attributes for an MBean are declared in the interface that
defines the MBean. All that the XML file does is instantiate the MBean and
initialize it with a given set of attribute values.
If you use the JMX console, you can see that the operations described in the
documentation
What you mean by how do you configure operations?
on JMX you configure MBeans and properties.. you never configure operations.
You can call those methods through the jmx-console though.
