Why do we need those Dashboards at all? The whole concept of Dashboard is
broken and confusing.
Suppose I have two portals with two different layouts: 3 columns and 2 columns
I add pages from those portals to Dashboard which may have 1 column layout.
Ta-da! None of the added pages is displayed
I have created one new page in the dashboard.I only see it when I click the
dashboard.I want to know the main function of dashboard.Because I always
think it used for show the home page.What situation do we use dashboard in?

I do not use the admin UI at all to do any configurations. I configure the
portal using xml files so that they can be promoted to different
environments(from Dev to QA to Production).
I have used portlet.xml, portal.xml
Is it possible to show my own configured dashboard to other users? I mean,
user1 has configured his dashboard and wants now to show it to user2. Is it
possible with latest portal?

I read in the reference manual that drag and drop functionality is only
available on the dashboard -
1) is there a url for the dashboard ? i want to access the dashboard directly
or provide drag and drop functionality
2) Also, I would like to setup the entire portal using xml files on

When we deploy the jboss-portal2.6.1ha.sar to the jboss4.05 GA with 3 nodes

removed all other themes (including renaissance) from portal-themes.xml,
leaving only my new company theme in there.
